To cherish the rich culture and the varied flavours of the state of Gujarat, DPS Surat organised an assembly for Classes I and II on Thursday, 1st May 2025. The essence of this assembly was to commemorate the ‘Gujarat Day’, also known as ‘Gujarat Sthapana Diwas’. The assembly drove home the point that in Gujarat, vibrancy and diligence co-exist. On one hand, it enlightened students regarding Gujarat’s rich, multi layered traditions, including the famous folk dance ‘Garba’, the delectable Gujarati cuisine and on the other hand, it introduced the students to the great stalwarts of the state like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dhirubhai Ambani, Vikram Sarabhai and Narendra Modi whose grit and determination helped Gujarat to scale new heights. The students performed with great gusto, instilling in every heart a sense of pride and belonging to ‘Garvi Gujarat’.
