On 16 April 2025, Class XI students participated in a special screening of Inside Out 2 as part of the Social Emotional Development (SED) program. This aimed to foster emotional awareness, empathy, and self-regulation by exploring the complex world of emotions in an engaging and relatable way.
Inside Out 2, a sequel to the widely acclaimed animated film Inside Out, delves deeper into the emotional experiences of adolescence, introducing new emotions alongside the familiar ones such as Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. The storyline provided students with a creative and thoughtful portrayal of how emotions evolve during the teenage years. After the screening, students were encouraged in reflective discussion led by counsellors, where they shared their insights on emotional triggers, the importance of mental well-being, and the value of expressing and managing emotions effectively. The session encouraged open communication and helped normalize conversations around mental health. Overall, the activity was well-received by students and served as a valuable tool for promoting emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and interpersonal understanding.
